This is a rather special

Iridescent green glass centrepiece with a glorious lustre

by Loetz Austria. The bowl is strapped with a pewter mount of leaves and berries by the well-famed Van Hauten of Bonn.

Rather a large bowl in very good condition. The mount is very rare and I have not seen another. There has been a repair at some stage, where the mount must have become loose and re-soldered which is shown in the picture gallery. The bowl is in excellent condition with no major scratches/chips or repair to glass. The base has a clean polished pontil mark.

The pattern is named *Creta Rusticana* by Loetz Austria. c1900
