Early Coalport cup & saucer decorated with Bouquets of flowers c1815
This cup and saucer have the moulded C scroll as seen on Nantgarw porcelain. The painting is of high quality and is comparable to that of Nantgarw fine porcelain. When the Nantgarw factory closed Billingsley moved to the Coalport factory where he continued painted his beloved roses. The Coalport factory bought the moulds of Nangarw and continued to use them for a short time.
Condition: Very good with a loss to the gilding on edges. Light scratches to bottom of the cup.
