This plate has the famed Nantgarw C scroll moulded pattern and painted with extremely beautiful bouquets of flowers. After the closure of the Nantgarw factory closed, Mr Billingsley moved to the Coalport factory where he continued to paint his beloved roses. Shown is the quality of porcelain under transmitted light as well as an impressed mark.
Early Coalport was unmarked till c1820.
Condition: Very good with slight loss to gilding. There is a small area of brown staining.
