Flühliglas Karaffe engraved with a Deer and Trees c1836
description
An exceptional carafe by the famed Flühliglass factory Lucern. The carafe is engraved with a deer jumping a fence with two trees on either side. Squiggly lines top & bottom and dated 1836. The mouth is drawn with two twists and there are bubbles and tears throughout. The pontil mark is rough.
A near matching decanter can be seen in the Museum Krauchtal Bern.
