Fritz Haussman Bauhaus design coffee pot decorated with stripes
description
Fritz Haussmann won a design award for his iconic non-drip sprout teapots. At first, they were simple in decoration but later he expanded his range to include traditional Swiss flowers and furthermore into stripes, circles, stars and a whole host of creative patterns. The clay he used is similar to that of Margrit Linck, that it is prone to chipping but all the same rather robust. All of his tableware production was of a lightweight and easy to handle. This delightful pot with a white ground then decorated with a yellow slip and handpainted with black stripes, grey and circles standing out in white.
