Malay Silver Betel box with cover and pierced base c1860/90. This could also be a incense box with cover. It is very clean and no trace of burning so rather a Betel box. The inside base is pierced with a Lotus flower. The box stands on 4 small legs. The overall decoration is floral. The handle to the top is in form of a palm tree (acreca tree) feathery palm. There are no makers marks.
Condition : Very good. No damage
Size : 11,5cm x 8,5cm x 8,5cm to top of tree.
