A rather rare to find Arts & Crafts crystal biscuit barrel in battuto cut and polished. The metal work, handle,lid and rim work has been handbeaten to compliment the buttuto cut and has a makers stamp of an angel. The base of the barrel is marked with Rd.No 42716. There is a similar article in the book of Glass of John Walsh 1850-1951 on pp 11, 12. Thanks to Ian for the information.
