This is a stunning early Coalport plate decorated with bouquets of flowers and fine gilt twigs. Early Coalport was seldom marked but the impressed numbers *1* and *6* rarely appear in the market place. John Rose was the most famous painter at the time. The plate has an impressed *6* mark.
