Wedgwood creamware tea bowl & saucer with printed fruits pattern c1770
description
A rare Wedgwood creamware tea bowl and saucer with the printed pattern of fruits and decanter surrounded by flowers and leaves. This is considered as some of Wedgwoods finest printed works on his creamwares. The detail is quite extraordinary with no breaks in the pattern, this is around c1770 as soon thereafter came another body type, Jasper ware. This piece has an impressed mark WEDGWOOD all in upper case and a square of four impressed dots.
