A super white porcelain bowl with rice inclusions by Friedl Kjellberg for Arabia Finland. This is a revival of Chinese technology of the Qianlong period. The process took Kjellberg many years to perfect and the department had to be spotlessly clean so as not to have dirt of foreign objects in its body. This was a real specialised manufacture as to the cutting of the holes which demanded a steady and well practiced hand. Production began in 1941.
