A freestyle painted ceramic jug with lid by well know Swiss ceramist Willy Steinlin. This artist produced an extensive range of fantasy items and themes. It gives me the feeling that he painted with no pre-conceived idea but went with the flow as the picture took shape. Here i could be well wrong in my thinking but i just love these pieces as it allows one to think as you see the art.

 

Condition: Good  Two small fleabite chips to spout. Some glaze fractures to one side of handle.
